Barbu Club uses information to run the game, keep your account and rating, and help you return to your table. You can play as a guest or sign in with Google or ChatGPT.

Information used by the game

We store a player identifier, your chosen player name, game results, rating, wins and recent activity time. Multiplayer tables also store their settings, players, cards, scores and timers so a game can continue after a disconnect. Your cards are sent only to your own seat; cards you play become visible to the other players.

Google and ChatGPT sign-in

Signing in lets us associate your player profile with a stable identifier from your provider. Google supplies an identity token that can contain basic profile information, such as your name, email address and profile picture. The game saves the Google identifier for sign-in; it does not save your Google email address or profile picture in its player database. You choose the player name shown at the table.

Barbu Club does not receive your Google or ChatGPT password. Google sign-in does not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or other Google account content. Google and OpenAI also process information under their own privacy policies when you use their sign-in services.

What other people can see

Other players can see your player name and game activity at their table. Account names, ratings, wins and game counts may appear on the public leaderboard. Public tables are listed for other players to join. Private tables require an invitation. The site administrator can see recent player activity and table summaries to operate the service.

Cookies and device storage

Essential cookies identify a guest player, keep an account signed in and protect sign-in requests. Google sign-in sessions expire after 30 days; the guest cookie can last up to one year. Browser storage remembers game settings. Clearing cookies or signing out can remove your ability to return as the same guest. Google and ChatGPT may use their own cookies during sign-in.

Hosting and retention

The game runs on OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. These services process requests and may keep operational and security logs. Game profiles, results and saved tables remain in the game database to support rankings and reconnecting; they do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule. Expired sign-in sessions cannot be used to sign in and are cleaned up when authentication runs.

Your choices and contact

You can change your player name in account settings, sign out, or play as a guest. To request access, correction or deletion of information held by Barbu Club, contact william.nordlund1992@gmail.com. Include your player name and sign-in provider, but never send a password or sign-in token. We may need to verify that you own the profile before acting on a request.
